Branding, print and website design for NOW

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

NOW stands for National Orthodontic Week. NOW is the brainchild of the British Orthodontic Society.

The campaign was created to focus attention on the ways the look and function of your teeth can be improved; providing clear and impartial information about orthodontic treatment and encouraging you to find out more… NOW.

Feelingpeaky, the london based branding, print and website design company was selected to create an indentity, website, posters and t-shirts to support the event. Our aim was to produce a brand that is fun / funky but also professional / attractive and positions NOW (National Orthodontics Week) for success. Something that would reach out to both the consumer and professional market. The result is below…

NOW

It was agreed the key communication vehicle for the new event would be a website. The site is predominantly a consumer facing site – informing them about orthodontics and what it can do for them – The client wanted us to think big smiley faces – great teeth – and not dentists and nurses in masks. The site was to be aspirational and achievable and motivate people to take action.

Lastly to support the work done by orthodontists themselves we created a number of materials to be used in or at their practices.

Print design for NOW

Now launches officially in March 2010. It was certainly a project we enjoyed getting our teeth into (bad pun intended!) and we would like to thank the BOS for selecting Feelingpeaky.

E-commerce web site design with Magento

Monday, August 3rd, 2009

Magento is now the leading open source e-commerce platform. It allows you to develop fully featured and effective e-commerce stores at a fraction of the price a ground up bespoke development would cost. It has a massive community and is developing fast with a whole raft of add on modules. Magento is now Feelingpeaky’s preferred e-commerce platform and we’ll look to specialise further on this platform over the coming years.

Here is an example of a Magento e-commerce web site design for The Powderpuff Girls. They sell beauty cosmetics from their location in London.

Yellow Pages Advert Design

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Yes it’s old School! …Especially for a business that does so much online marketing. However, Yellow Pages adverts still provide a very effective form of advertising for many businesses. Yellow Pages are delivered up and down the country although most businesses target their specific local region. Many businesses benefit year in year out from placing adverts in the Yellow Pages – It still very much works… we don’t always have to go to Google!

Back at the start of the year we designed an ad for another agency. We aimed to design something that stood out from the crowd on the page and led to new business enquiries. A slice of the ad follows. If your looking to prepare an effective Yellow Pages advert then contact us – we’d love to help – call 020 89974700.

Bossoms Boatyard website redesign

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

The people at Bossoms love building boats, restoring boats, looking after boats and talking about boats. The trouble is they didn’t have a website to reflect this. Feelingpeaky were proud to be selected to design and build a website that would act as a focal point for all things Bossoms.

Ultimately the brief had three main goals: to help to increase turnover for the boatyard; help to revive and expand traditional boat building; and recruit, train and keep motivated crafts people. Feelingpeaky designed a site that balanced classic with contemporary, taking on design elements reflective of the stunning setting for the boatyard. In terms of ongoing management of the site Feelingpeaky provided Bossoms with one of our preferred content management systems – CMS Made Simple. It does what it says on the tin. The project was such a success that we are now looking at the opportunity of developing an e-commerce element for the site.
