Yes it’s old School! …Especially for a business that does so much online marketing. However, Yellow Pages adverts still provide a very effective form of advertising for many businesses. Yellow Pages are delivered up and down the country although most businesses target their specific local region. Many businesses benefit year in year out from placing adverts in the Yellow Pages – It still very much works… we don’t always have to go to Google!

Back at the start of the year we designed an ad for another agency. We aimed to design something that stood out from the crowd on the page and led to new business enquiries. A quick post to finish the year and present another small example of print design work we have completed in 2008. Below is the cover to a highly technical print design brochure for Insight Biotechnology. Designed to support their attendance at a recent exhibition. The effective brochure handed out to prospects has already led to new business.

Feelingpeaky have had the pleasure of working with Carole Ann Rice of the Real Coaching Company for the past couple of years. Carole Ann provides life coaching and media coaching services to her clients both here in the UK and abroad.

Over the past few months Feelingpeaky have designed, illustrated and copy written two print brochures: one to cover life coaching and the other for media coaching. Manging the whole process from strategy and creative concepts through design to print production management.

CREW are on of our favourite clients. A large part of their business is focused on primary school workshops. Therefore when ever we see them we know there will be something new and exciting to design. Over the past couple of years we have rebranded CREW, created a website, provided postcard mailers and a primary school workshop brochure. More recently we have been getting involved in the workshops themselves. A couple of examples are: ‘Clued up or Clueless’ – which challenges children to use their senses, memories and minds in order to solve the mind-boggling, crime cracking murder mystery and ‘Express Yourself’ – self-expression workshops that target the children’s speaking and listening skills.

With each workshop we provided a teachers pack and family puzzlers for the children to take home. Over the projects we have created a huge library of illustrations, design and artwork:

For the ‘Clued-up or Clueless?’ workshop we also got to provide further materials to support the workshop like acetate finger print charts, suspect profiles, and a large floor plan shown below. All the design and illustration is handled in house.

Over the past year we have had the pleasure of working with the CREW team on many occasions starting off with the redesign of their logo through to the website, and many printed materials. However, our last project proved just how serious they are about school workshops. They could have potentially presented the workshop notes in a Word document but they wanted something dynamic, colourful and memorable.

Feelingpeaky devised a workshop folder, booklet and child take-home worksheets. The job included all the illustration work – following on from the themes developed previously. The workshop itself was a huge success. CREW are looking forward to taking this format onwards in the new term.
