Festival of Light micro-site for Longleat

Who are they?

Longleat Safari & Adventure Park has been one of the UK’s best-loved attractions for over 60 years. It features an extensive Safari Park, is home to BBC Animal Park and CBBC Roar and also has over 20 fabulous attractions, including Penguin Island, The Jungle Cruise, Monkey Temple and Longleat House, one of the most stunning stately homes in Britain.

The Challenge

Longleat planned to launch a brand new type of event for Christmas 2014. The Festival of Light will stage Europe’s largest ever display of giant Chinese lanterns and will sit alongside their traditional Christmas offering of Santa Train, ice skating and of course their regular attractions – that of Longleat House and the safari park. The challenge simply was to prepare a website to help sell tickets to the event.

The Solution

Feelingpeaky designed a number of concepts for the project – eventually leading through to a winning design with bold use of graphics that clearly looked to show of the majesty and sheer scale of the lanterns that would be on display – This in advance of them actually being created onsite. Clear layout of information and bright and bold call to actions to book tickets have helped start the ticket sales drive for another successful Christmas season.
